A staff member or volunteer will come to your drivers side window and take your information. When it is your turn\, a staff member will come to your vehicle\, take payment and use one of our slip leads to bring your dog inside our conference room. We will vaccinate and/or microchip then return him/her to you with your paperwork. We anticipate a high volume of customers\, so it is very important to follow instructions closely. Staff and volunteers will be on site to direct and assist you. \nFor your pet to receive a 3 year vaccination\, you must present their current\, up to date\, rabies certificate. Town licenses and tags are not acceptable. 3 year vaccinations are at the discretion of the veterinarian.  \nPre-Registration is not required\, but strongly suggested to help ease the process for staff and your pets! \nRegister Here\n*Up to 5 pets can be added on the registration form. SUMMARY:February Vacation Camp
DESCRIPTION:PMHS-CV February Vacation Camp will be held Monday\, February 20th-Friday\, February 24th at our shelter in Dover\, NH. We will be offering a morning and afternoon session\, both of which are 3 hours long. Children in Grades 3-5 will be able to attend our morning session from 9 AM-12 PM and children in Grades 4-6 will be able to attend our afternoon session from 1 PM-4 PM. Our morning sessions are geared more towards those that are younger at heart\, while the afternoon sessions are for those that may be described as older souls. We’ll be offering a wide variety of activities for the kids- games\, crafts\, hands on time with animals\, along with special guests and speakers! Since each day will have a different theme\, campers will have the option to attend the full week or choose to attend specific days depending on their interests. We strive to provide a unique and memorable experience for our campers\, while making sure our activities are both educational and fun! \nCost: \n$200 for the week or $50 per day \nThemes: \nMonday: Pet Ownership and Advocacy \nTuesday: Dog care \nWednesday: Cat care \nThursday: Wildlife care \nFriday: Small animal care & Exotic animal care \n**In order to ensure each day is enjoyable for all campers\, we will have a minimum of 4 and a max of 12 children per session.** \nRegister Here!

The care includes updating the animal’s vaccinations\, heartworm prevention\, tick and flea treatments and spaying or neutering them and a microchip.  In these unprecedented times of the coronavirus pandemic and the impact on shelter operations as well as the challenges it poses for fundraising\, support would be lifesaving for our animals. \nTickets can be purchased from August 1st-September 6th. The drawing will take place on September 6th at 12 PM on Facebook Live!\n$10 for 10 tickets \n$25 for 30 tickets \n$50 for 75 tickets \n$100 for 200 tickets \nOur goal is to raise $10\,000 so a lucky individual will potentially win $5\,000! Thank you for your support of the animals!\nIRS Regulations require us to withhold 25% of the cash winnings of $5\,000 or greater and file a IRS Form W-2G. Winner also grants permission to PMHS-CV to use their name\, character\, photograph\, and likeness in connection with promotion of this raffle in the future and waives any claims to royalty\, right\, or remuneration for such use. DESCRIPTION:PMHS-CV will be participating in NH Gives again this year to raise money for our general operating expenses that help us care for the 1500+ homeless animals that will come through our doors this year. As a non-profit organization that receives no state or federal funding\, we depend on the funds from individuals\, foundations\, and our events to help us provide food\, shelter\, and medical care to the abandoned\, abused\, neglected\, and homeless animals of Strafford County\, NH\, and southern Maine. Your support will truly make a difference in the lives of the animals that depend on us for their care while they are waiting to find their forever homes. \nThis year\, for every $2 we raise– we have a donor that will donate $1 up to $4\,345 in honor of the Ukrainian people and shelter dogs Emma\, Fuddles and Hemi. We will vaccinate and/or microchip then return him/her to you with your paperwork.\n\n\n\nWe anticipate a high volume of customers\, so it is very important to follow instructions closely. Staff and volunteers will be on site to direct and assist you.\n\n\n\nFor your pet to receive a 3 year vaccination\, you must present their current\, up to date\, rabies certificate. Campers should bring a refillable water bottle. \nCamp Activities: PMHS camp is designed to be a fun and educational experience that will teach kids how to show care and compassion to animals. In addition to interacting with and learning more about some of our shelter residents\, campers will also enjoy playing games\, doing arts & crafts\, and meet new friends. \nCamp Staff: Campers will be led by two camp counselors who are part of our experienced Humane Education Program at the shelter. PMHS performs background checks on all our camp counselors. \nWhere and When: The shelter is located at 221 County Farm Rd\, Dover\, NH. The shelter is not open to the public except by appointment\, however\, the main entrance doors will be open when campers arrive. Campers should arrive just before the start of camp at 9 am.  For the morning session\, children need to be picked up at noon.  For the afternoon session\, children should be dropped off no later than 1 pm and picked back up at 4 pm.  All campers must be signed in and out by a parent or guardian each day. There will be a $15.00 fee for all late pick-ups. \nWhat Should Campers Wear & Bring:  \n\nCampers should wear comfortable clothes that are appropriate for active and possibly messy activities\nClosed-toe shoes\, such as sneakers are required. If a camper comes with inappropriate footwear\, they may be restricted from camp activities\nWe recommend all campers bring a refillable water bottle.\nCampers should leave things of value at home such as money\, toys\, iPods\, game consoles\, etc. PMHS is not responsible for any lost\, stolen\, or damaged items\nPlease be sure all items brought to camp are labeled with the camper’s name\n\n  \nIn Case of Emergency: In case of an emergency during camp\, PMHS staff will contact the parent or guardian using the information provided during registration. If we are unable to reach a parent or guardian\, a message will be left\, and we will attempt to reach the person(s) listed as emergency contacts. If information changes at any time after registration\, please be sure to notify our staff. \nCancellation Policy: Cancellation made within 7 days before camp will not be refunded \nParticipant Behavior: While attending any PMHS programs\, participants are expected to treat all others\, including staff\, other participants\, and shelter residents\, with respect and compassion. Behavior guidelines will be reviewed with all participants. Any participant demonstrating\, they are unable to follow these guidelines may be asked to leave and/or maybe dismissed from the remainder of the program session. Refunds will not be available for participants who are dismissed for behavioral reasons. \nWe have zero-tolerance for bullying\, fighting\, or using any objects as a weapon. Use of tobacco\, alcohol\, or drugs is strictly prohibited. Violation of these policies is grounds for immediate dismissal from any PMHS program. Refunds will not be available for participants who violate these policies. \nCamper Cell Phone Use: Campers who bring cell phones to camp will be permitted to use their phone to contact parents or guardians in case of emergency. Calling or texting during camp activities will not be permitted.

When it is your turn\, a staff member will come to your vehicle\, take payment and use one of our slip leads to bring your dog inside our conference room. We will vaccinate and/or microchip then return him/her to you with your paperwork.\n\n\n\nWe anticipate a high volume of customers\, so it is very important to follow instructions closely. Staff and volunteers will be on site to direct and assist you.\n\n\n\nFor your pet to receive a 3 year vaccination\, you must present their current\, up to date\, rabies certificate. Town licenses and tags are not acceptable.\n\n\n\nFor everyone’s safety please stay home If:\n• You have been in close contact with a confirmed case of\nCOVID-19 OR you have tested positive\n• Felt feverish or have had a fever in the last 72 hours\n• Experiencing any respiratory symptoms\n• Experiencing muscle aches or chills\n\n\n\n\nThank you for your cooperation and hope to see you there!

If you are unable to make Sunday’s rain date\, tickets will be honored for Saturday 10/17 Day Haunt!\n10am-2pm\nDeMeritt Hill Farm\nLee\, NH\n\n\nThrow on your costume and help us celebrate the Halloween season at Haunted Overload for our annual Howl for the Animals!\nThis is a family-friendly event (no scary monsters!) appropriate for kids of all ages. You can trick-or-treat your way through the Haunted Overload day haunt collecting candy from our friendly ghouls! Dogs on leashes are also welcome\, so bring the whole family!\n\n\nWe want everyone to have a fun and safe day\, so COVID-19 safety precautions will be in place. Masks are required and social distancing will be practiced\, and there will be temperature screenings for all guests before they enter the haunt.\n\n\nAdmission is just $5 and all proceeds go to Pope Memorial Humane Society-Cocheco Valley.
