Pope Memorial Humane Society – Cocheco Valley’s primary focus has always been on aiding our community. Today, we swiftly responded to a local Animal Control Officer’s urgent plea for assistance in rescuing a significant number of cats from an extremely cramped and hazardous living situation. PMHS-CV sprang into action and successfully saved 29 cats.
Unfortunately, all the cats came in scared, covered in dirt and in very rough shape. They had not received any medical attention and ranged in age from 2 days to 2 years old. Among them were 2 nursing mothers, one caring for 5 kittens and another for 7, with 2 more expecting mothers. While we are grateful to have rescued them, we are in dire need of donations to provide the necessary care. This includes extensive time and comfort, food, supplies, and crucial medical attention before they are cleared for adoption.
Please, we urge you to help us provide these cats and kittens with the care they desperately need after enduring such a challenging start in life.
