Research has demonstrated that interacting with animals can alleviate some of the symptoms of Alzheimer’s Disease. Additionally, engaging in art is a calming and beneficial activity that can enhance the quality of life for individuals coping with this condition. Pope Memorial Humane Society has combined these two therapeutic components in our “Paws & Painting” program! Our overarching mission is to support animals, but we are equally committed to enriching our community in the process!
