“Tunes for Tails” is Pope Memorial Humane Society –Cocheco Valley’s (PMHS-CV) biggest fundraiser of the year!
As a community-funded nonprofit 501(c)(3), PMHS-CV is committed to promoting the humane treatment of animals in Strafford County, NH, and Southern Maine. Each year, we provide a safe haven for over 1,000 surrendered, lost, abused, neglected, or unwanted animals.
This event helps us raise critical funds to:
Find loving, forever homes for animals
Promote spaying and neutering
Support cruelty investigations and rescues
Raise community awareness about animal welfare
Foster volunteer involvement and support

Was 2024 a Success?
YES! “Tunes for Tails” was a huge success!
The event was held at 3S Artspace in Portsmouth, NH on May 29th. We had about 150 guests in attendance with General Admission tickets for sale at $100 and VIP tickets for sale at $150. We had a full cash bar, passed appetizers and desserts, live music, and of course-adoptable dogs and cats! Guests enjoyed a live auction, a fund-a-need segment, and heartfelt stories shared by board members, shelter staff, and volunteers. Everyone had a great time, and we raised over $100K for the animals of PMHS-CV.
